Manuela Ribadeneira

Manuela Ribadeneira lives and works in London. Her recent exhibitions include Objects of Certitude, Objects of Doubt at Casa Triângulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil; the Mercosur Biennale, Porto Alegre, Brazil; and Finlandia op. 26 presented at Arte Actual, Quito, Ecuador, in collaboration with the musician Nelson García. Her piece Aqui se hace lo que digo yo was chosen as one of 7 permanent works for A House of Leaves, the inaugural show for the new David Roberts Art Foundation, London. She was chosen for a solo project for Pinta Art Fair, London, in 2012. In 2012 she also received a CIFO grant. Ribadeneira represented Ecuador in the Venice Biennale 2007 and in the Havana Biennale 2003 (Artes No Decorativas S.A.). Ribadeneira and García are founding members of the art collective Artes No Decorativas S.A. In 2011, together with curator Vincent Honoré and designer Benjamin Reichen, they launched a journal of contemporary art called Drawing Room Confessions (London/New York). She is a member of the Board of the Casa del Alabado, Museum of Pre-Columbian Art in Quito. Ribadeneira is represented by Casa Triângulo.
