Adwoa Amoah

Adwoa Amoah is a Ghanaian artist who lives and works in Accra. She received her BFA from the College of Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi in 2003. Her work is primarily painting but she also works with installations and photography, extending her language of expression to reflect contemporary situations. Through the process of gluing, stitching and painting, she questions, analyzes and interprets the social construct of identity and the ephemera of private and public opinion in Ghana. Amoah is currently the Co-Director of the Foundation for Contemporary Art, Ghana.
