Alejandra Labastida

Alejandra Labastida (Mexico City, 1979) is associate curator at MUAC (University Museum of Contemporary Art) museum, where she’s worked since 2008. She holds a B.A degree in Art History from Universidad Iberoamericana as well as an M.A of Art History from UNAM. In 2013 she received the ICI/SAHA Research Award and in 2012 she was the winner of the Akbank Sanat International Curatorial Competition in Istanbul. She was assistant curator at the Mexican Pavilion during the 54th edition of the Venice Biennale and has published in numerous catalogues and art magazines.
