Dana Levy
Dana Levy was born in Tel Aviv and lives and works in New York. She completed her post-graduate degree in Electronic Imaging at the Duncan of Jordanston College of Art, Dundee University, Scotland, and holds a BA from Camberwell Art College, London. Prizes include the 2013 Kolliner Young Artist Award, the 2008 Young Israeli Artist Award, the 2010 Dumbo Arts Festival best studio award, and the 2006 Hamburg Short Film festival jury award. Solo shows include the CCA Tel Aviv Israel (2012); Ron Mandos Gallery, Amsterdam (2012); Braverman Gallery, Tel Aviv (2012), Loop art fair, Barcelona (2012); and Nicelle Beauchene, New York (2010). Levy has taken part in many group shows including the Neuberger Museum, NY (2013); The Bass Museum, Florida (2012); Herzelia Museum, Israel (2012); The Israel Museum, Jerusalem (2011 and 2008); Invisible Exports Gallery, New York (2010); Tate Modern, London (2010); Museum on the Seam, Jerusalem (2006 and 2010); Cleveland Museum of Modern Art (2009-10); Jewish Museum, Amsterdam (2008); and Tel-Aviv Museum of Art (2006). Levy is currently artist-in-residence at LMCC workspace. She has also taken part in other residencies such as Le Havre/ New York: Regards Croises, France (2011); Art Omi, New York (2011); I-park, Connecticut (2011); Triangle Arts Association, New York (2009-10); A.I.R O’artoteca Milan, Italy (2007); and OK center for Contemporary Art, Linz, Austria (2003).
