David Teh

David Teh’s research centers on contemporary art in Southeast Asia. He is based in Singapore and works at the National University of Singapore, in the fields of critical theory and visual culture. From 2005-9 Teh was an independent critic and curator based in Bangkok, Thailand. His recent projects have included The More Things Change…, 5th Bangkok Experimental Film Festival (2008); Unreal Asia, 55, Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Germany (2009); Itineraries, VWFA, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2011); and Video Vortex #7, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2011). Teh’s writings have appeared in Third Text, Art Asia Pacific, LEAP Magazine, Art & Australia, Broadsheet, and The Bangkok Post. He is director of Future Perfect, a new gallery and project platform in Singapore.
