Duygu Demir

Duygu Demir is a programmer for SALT, Istanbul. Duygu worked on the inaugural exhibition at SALT Beyo?lu,“I am not a studio artist”, a retrospective of Hüseyin Bahri Alptekin that opened in April 2011, and was the editor of a comprehensive publication that accompanied the exhibition. She also organized Across the Slope – Ahmet Ö?üt, the first in a series of projects titled Modern Essays, and co-curated I Decided not to Save the World with Kyla McDonald, a group exhibition which was on view at Tate Modern’s Level 2 Gallery and traveling to SALT in March 2012. Most recently, she worked on another institutional collaboration, ?stanbul Eindhoven SALTVanAbbe: Post ‘89. Duygu contributes to magazines and online platforms including Art Asia Pacific, Art Unlimited, Broadsheet and Ibraaz, and previously acted as managing editor for the magazine RES Art World / World Art.
