Ebony G. Patterson
Ebony G. Patterson (Jamaican, b. 1981) received her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis (2006), and her BFA from Edna Manley College in Kingston (2004). She is an Associate Professor of Painting at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Awards include a William H. Johnson Prize Finalist (2013), a Musgrave Medal from the Institute of Jamaica (2012), Small Axe Magazine and Andy Warhol Commissioned Grant (2012), and a Rex Nettleford Fellowship in Cultural Studies (2011). Recent exhibitions include dy/nas/ty, Pattersons first US solo museum exhibition, at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and Caribbean: Crossroads of the World at the Studio Museum in Harlem and Pérez Museum in Miami.
