Ximena Gama (b. Colombia, 1982) has a degree in philosophy from the National University of Colombia with an emphasis on aesthetic and political studies. She is a specialist in History and Theory of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Universidad de los Andes. In 200708 she worked at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) and ICAA Research Center (International Center of The Art of the Americas), which collaborated on the project Documents of 20th Century Latin American and Latino Art. The following year, she worked at the Cecilia de Torres Gallery LTD (New York) as a research assistant on Taller Torres Garcia. From 201013, she was a representative of Sicardi Gallery (Houston) in Colombia. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Cultural Studies at the Universidad de los Andes where she is researching contemporary art and memory. She is a collaborator for various magazines in Colombia such as Revista Diners, Arcadia, and Revista Arteria.
