Federico Herrero, Mancha monocromo, 2009 Contemporary Artistic Languages from Central America Monday, May 6 6:30–8pm ICI Curatorial Hub 401 Broadway, Suite 1620 New York, NY 10013 Contemporary Artistic Languages from Central America will make its North America premier in New York at ICI’s Hub. The publication will then launch in Miami, Los Angeles, Madrid, and Central America. Luisa Fuentes Guaza will present this editorial project, which provides a subjective interpretation of the diverse contemporary artistic languages taking place in Central America through a selection of projects, interviews, and works. The book explores issues of location, production, and the social and collaborative elements present in contemporary practice. The publication includes contributions by Rosina Cazali, Adrienne Samos, Patricia Belli, Stefan Benchoam, Emiliano Valdés, Adán Vallecillo, Walterio Ariehta, Dalía Chévez, Roland Morán, Morayma Sánchez, Fabrizio Arrieta, Eugenio Bautista, Mauricio Kabistán, Federico Herrero, Johann Wolfchoon, Eliett Cabezas, Alicia Zamora, Marcos Agudelo, and Kency Cornejo, among others.
