ICI presents a panel discussion on the discursive turn in curating at CAA’s 100th annual conference in Los Angeles. Practitioners at the intersection of education and curatorial practice examine new developments in the field and consider how this turn is re-calibrating traditional dynamics between educators, curators, and artists in different institutional contexts, as well as new forms of audience engagement. Panelists include Allison Agsten, Curator of Public Engagement, Hammer Museum; Jessica Gogan, independent curator and educator; and Sofia Olascoaga, independent curator and ICI Curatorial Research Fellow. The conversation will be moderated by Chelsea Haines, Education & Public Programs Manager, ICI.
