Project 35 Volume 2 London Gallery West, University of Westminster October 23, 2014 – November 30, 2014 Project 35 Volume 2 is on view at the University of Westminster’s London Gallery West from October 23, 2014 – November 30, 2014. In conjunction with the exhibition, The Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM) and the International Centre for Documentary and Experimental Film at the University of Westminster have organized a symposium addressing expanded geographies of research on artists’ moving image and experimental video. Titled Globality in Artists’ Film & Video, the one-day event gathers together numerous artists, researchers and writers including Shezad Dawood, an exhibiting artist in Project 35 Volume 2, George Clark, May Adadol Ingawanij, Ozlem Koksal, Michael Mazière, Lucy Reynolds, Julian Ross, and Erika Tan.

Symposium: Globality in Artists’ Film & Video November 12, 2014 Speakers: George Clark is an artist, curator and writer. He is Assistant Curator: Film at Tate Modern and has curated retrospectives and film programmes for galleries, festivals and television. He has written for publications including Afterall, Art Monthly and Sight & Sound. Shezad Dawood is an exhibiting artist in Project 35 Volume 2 and is a Research Fellow at the University of Westminster. May Adadol Ingawanij is a Reader and Director of Research of UoW’s International Centre for Documentary and Experimental Film. Ozlem Koksal is a film scholar who teaches on the MA Film and Television, University of Westminster. Michael Mazière is an artist and curator, currently Reader in Film and Video at the University of Westminster and Curator of London Gallery West and Ambika P3. Lucy Reynolds is a writer, artist and curator of artists’ moving image. She runs the MRes: Art: Moving Image at Central St Martins, in association with LUX, and teaches on the MA Film and Television, University of Westminster. Julian Ross is a researcher, curator and writer based in Amsterdam. He is on the short film selection committee at International Film Festival Rotterdam. Erika Tan is an artist who teaches in the faculty of Fine Art (4D Pathway) in Central Saint Martins School of Art, University of the Arts, London.
