Photo: Lee O’Connor ICI is pleased to announce that Renaud Proch has been named the new Executive Director of the organization. Current Executive Director, Kate Fowle, will become Chief Curator of the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Moscow, while remaining at ICI as Director-at-Large. “We are privileged to have both Fowle and Proch, with their enormous intelligence, and dedication, leading ICI,” said ICI Board Chairman Patterson Sims and Board President Jeannie Minskoff Grant. “The Board of Trustees is delighted they both will continue to guide ICI’s vital, growing role in international contemporary art exhibitions, curatorial training and education.” I look forward to working with curators internationally to keep developing ICI as a platform that promotes a broad range of voices in support of art practice, Proch said. As Director-at-Large, Fowle will continue to oversee the training programs, as well new publications and special projects such as the upcoming conference ICI is developing in collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum in New York. “ICI has become my passion,” Fowle says, “and so I’m happy to be able to continue working with Renaud Proch and the ICI staff.” Proch and Fowle will begin in their new roles on April 1, 2013.
