Sackler Center for Feminist Art, Brooklyn Museum This event is in conjunction with the Arcadia University Art Gallery presentation of Martha Wilson: Staging the Self which will be on view from August 24 – November 4. Intended as an evolving retrospective, this exhibition encourages collaboration between Arcadia University Art Gallery and the artist Martha Wilson in selecting works from overlapping stages of Wilson’s career that will suit Arcadia’s own local collection and audiences. On Tuesday, October 30, Arcadia is hosting a lecture by Catherine Morris, Curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, Brooklyn Museum and most recently curator of the exhibition Materializing “Six Years” whic is devoted to examining the defining impact Lucy R. Lippard’s groundbreaking book Six Years had on the emergent Conceptual art movement. Past events at Arcadia include a lecture by Martha Wilson herself and a public opening reception.
