Performance Now Krakow Theatrical Reminiscences October 4, 2014 – October 26, 2014 Performance Now, on view at the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery as part of the 39th Krakow Theatrical Reminiscences this October, includes films, videos, installations and photographs by international artists who have crutially contributed to the field of performance art in the 21st century. Performance Now brings together the most significant artists working internationally with performance today: Claire Fontaine, Santiago Sierra, Clifford Owens, Yael Bartana, Guy Ben-Ner, William Kentridge and many more. As part of the festival, Krakow Theatrical Reminiscences will host a series of performances, screenings and talks focusing on the politics of performance, how visual artists create theatre, and artists responses to socio-politics at large. Other events will include events with Tino Sehgal, Boris Charmatz, Vera Mantero, Claire Bishop and others. Central to it all, Performance Now will be the jumping off point in which to explore these questions and others throughout the run of the festival. RoseLee Goldberg will present the exhibition and a lecture on her research on Thursday, October 9th.
