Mary Flanagan, Mapscotch: BOMBscotch, 2013 On View March 18 – April 20, 2014 Curators talk: Thursday, April 3, 5PM in the Great Room, University Commons Opening reception: Thursday, April 3, 6PM in the Art Gallery Push Play will make its exhibition debut at Arcadia University Art Gallery in Glenside, PA this spring. Curated by Melissa E. Feldman, Push Play is an entirely hands-on exhibition that explores the work of artists who borrow from play and games to reveal contemporary social, philosophical, and cultural issues through aesthetic experience. The exhibition at Arcadia will also include Philadelphia-based artist Jennie Shanker’s Shoot the Moon, 1992/2014, adding a direct local dialogue to the project. Opening events will take place on April 3rd and will include a presentation by the curator on the history of games and play in the visual arts.
