On View June 12, 2014 – September 14, 2014
Living As Form (The Nomadic Version) opened on June 12 at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, North Dakota. The exhibition brings together renowned international artists and socially engaged practitioners with over a dozen regional artists from the Fargo-Moorehead area to transform the museum into an active hub and resource center. Throughout the summer, a rotating roster of artists-in-residence will lead visitors in a rich program of discussions, events and workshops. All programs are open to the public and free of charge.
On September 4 – 7, the Plains Art Museum will also present Central Time Centric, a symposium focusing on concerns of art and social engagement in the Midwest. Participants will take part in conversations about the relationship between artists and communities and the evolution of art as social practice, among other issues. For a full roster of events and information about registration, please visit the symposium website, here.
