Established in 2010, The Curatorial Intensive is a weeklong, immersive professional development program that offers emerging curators from around the world the chance to develop project ideas and make cross-generational connections with professionals in the field. Quarterly ICI is highlighting updates from our Curatorial Intensive alumni, a network which currently consists of 490 curators from 70 countries, with their most recent appointments, exhibitions and research. APPOINTMENTS Bruno de Almeida (Accra 17) has been appointed Curator and Resident Liaison at the Van Eyck – Multiform Institute for Fine Art, Design and Reflection in Maastricht, Netherlands. Amanda de la Garza (Londonderry 13) has been appointed Director General of Visual Arts at the University Museum of Contemporary Art in Mexico City, Mexico (MUAC). Chloe Geoghegan (New York Fall 15) has been appointed Curator at Te Uru in Auckland, New Zealand. Melissa Lee (Bangkok 18) has been appointed Director of Education and Public Programs at the Vancouver Art Gallery in Vancouver, Canada. La Keisha Leek (Dakar 16) has been appointed Department Administrator at MacArthur Foundation in Chicago, Illinois. Lynnette Miranda (New Orleans 16) has been appointed Program Director of United States Artists in Chicago, IL. Rachel Reese (New York Spring 14) has been appointed Director and Curator of Cress Gallery of Art at UTC in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rotem Rozental (New York Fall 14) has been appointed Chief Curator and Senior Director of Arts and Culture at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles. Eric Golo Stone (New York Fall 12) has been appointed the Artistic Director of the Künstlerhaus Stuttgart in Stuttgart, Germany. Victor Wang (New York Fall 11) has been appointed Artistic Director and Chief Curator of M WOODS Museum in Beijing, China. RESEARCH Nic Brierre Aziz (New Orleans 19) has been awarded the Warhol Foundation Grant for his research on the migration of black Haitians and its influence on the art and culture of the places they traveled both as slaves and as free people. Lauren Schell Dickens (New Orleans 15) has been awarded the Warhol Foundation Grant for her research on Filipino art and notions of nationhood, identity, migration, immigration, colonialism, and economic pressures.
