This summer, KKW will interpret do it by bringing this creative challenge to local youth. Beginning May 26, 2015, Kunstkraftwerk will host and facilitate 6 weeks of free workshops. The workshops will be led by 11 art education students from the University of Leipzig, under the tutelage of Prof. Ines Seumel, Cultural Manager Angela Straube, and assistant Anika Preissler.

Photos from the Curatorial Intensive in Marrakech

The inaugural Curatorial Intensive in Marrakech, in collaboration with Dar al-Ma’mûn, is now underway. The first day of the Intensive included the overview of the program with Omar Berrada (Director, Dar al-Ma’mûn) and ICI’s Renaud Proch and María del Carmen Carrión; as well as individual presentations by each of the 13 participants about their exhibition ideas.

Participants include: Jeff Ajueshi (Abuja, Nigeria), Robyn-Leigh Cedras (Cape Town, South Africa), Wafa Gabi (Tunis, Tunisia), Inês Grosso (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Salma Lahlou (Casablanca, Morocco), Rosa Lleó (Barcelona, Spain), Fatima-Zahra Lakrissa (Rabat, Morocco), Kwasi Ohene-Ayeh (Accra, Ghana), Evelyn Owen (New York, NY), Ilhan Ozan (Istanbul, Turkey), Shahana Rajani (Karachi, Pakistan), Ipek Ulusoy (Dubai, UAE), and Cliford Zulu (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe).
